Nancy Cooper Krail's Obituary
Nancy Cooper Krail, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and devoted member of the community, passed away peacefully at the age of 88, on September 6, 2025.
Born on March 12, 1937, in Philadelphia, PA, Nancy was the cherished daughter of the late William Thomas Cooper, Jr. and Irene (Albright) Cooper. She graduated from Roxborough High School in the Class of 1955 and went on to earn her bachelor’s degree from Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania.
While at the heart of her life was her unwavering faith and devotion to family, it was through this journey that she met and married the love of her life, George A. Krail, Jr. Together, they built a beautiful life and raised three sons—Randolph, Alexander, and Wesley—who were the pride and joy of her world.
Nancy dedicated many years to being a homemaker, always putting her family first. Later in life, she worked as a bookkeeper, demonstrating the same dedication and care she gave to her home and loved ones. She also served as a den mother for her sons' Boy Scout troop, helping guide and support not only her children but their peers as well.
A woman of deep faith, Nancy was an active member of Lewes Presbyterian Church, where her presence and kindness touched many. Sundays were especially meaningful to her, as she found great joy singing in the choir and planning piano during services. Joy too came Sundays gathering after church with congregational friends for lunch — a tradition that brought everyone together and created lasting memories.
Nancy is survived by her three sons: Randolph, Alexander, and Wesley Krail; five beloved grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and numerous extended family members and dear friends who will forever cherish her love, warmth, and strength.
A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, September 15, 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Lewes Presbyterian Church, 133 Kings Highway, Lewes, DE 19958 where friends may visit beginning at 1:30 PM. Interment will be private.
