Nancy Morris Grant's Obituary
Nancy Morris Grant, age 90, of Milford, DE, passed peacefully on Wednesday, June 22, 2022, at the Delaware Hospice Center. She was born on February 11, 1932, in Richmond, VA, the daughter of the late Cecil and Katherine (Rowlett) Morris.
Having earned her Phi Beta Kappa from Wake Forest, Nancy taught as an English teacher early in her life. She helped manage Wellborn Real Estate in the late 70’s and the 80’s in Reston, Virginia. She was an avid bicyclist and rode over the Alps in the 70’s. As a prolific traveler she embraced the world’s cultural offerings with exuberance. Nancy lived an extraordinary life traveling and lived happily in Reston, VA, Sarasota, FL and Milford, DE. The time spent with those she held dear to her heart was what she most cherished.
In addition to her parents, Nancy was pre-deceased by her former husband, Theodore F. Grant, long-time companion, Bill Wacker and her special friend, Tommy Weaver. She is survived by her children, Winslow Wacker, Lauren Hagerty (Ed), Christopher Grant (Pam), and Thomas Grant; her grandchildren William Wacker, Nikolai Morse, and Allison Grant; and her brother, Dewey Morris (Nancy). She will be missed dearly by her family and her many friends.
A celebration of her life will be planned this coming fall in Reston, Virginia.
