Molly Schubert's Obituary
Molly McLendon Schubert, 88, passed away peacefully on August 28, 2025, in Seaford, DE, where she had lived since 2004. Molly was born in Green Bay, raised in Wisconsin Rapids, and spent summers on Round Lake in Waupaca with family and lifelong friends. Molly attended Ripon College, then moved to Chicago where she met her husband Dana. They spent the majority of their 51 years together in Arnold, MD.
Molly was active in the Shore Acres Improvement Association, the Moonflower Garden Club, the YWCA of Annapolis, and numerous book clubs. While she worked in the medical support field, her most sacred endeavor was her family, which included raising two daughters, and becoming grandmother extraordinaire to 6 grandchildren- Sean, Ross, Conor, Maria, Donnie, and Patrick. Daughter Georgia (Paul) Lightfoot, still calls Arnold home. Daughter Julie (Jerry) Jellig lives in Haddonfield, NJ. Many nieces and nephews both mourn her loss and fondly remember her generosity, best exemplified by her frequent summer hosting of family at their home on the Magothy River.
Molly is predeceased by her parents, her husband Dana, her sister Anne Sulzbach, and her brother Robert McLendon. Molly’s last years were spent in the warm and empathic care of the Manor House.
Donations may be made in Molly’s memory to the Manor House Employee Appreciation Fund, 1001 Middleford Road, Seaford, DE 19973.
