Miriam "Mickey" Ware's Obituary
Miriam (Mickey) Louise Ware, age 85, of Rehoboth Beach, DE, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, May 27, 2015 with her loving daughter by her side. She was born in Washington, DC in August of 1929, daughter of the late Warren Warfield and Carmen Mae (Mueller) Jones.
Mickey enjoyed a 26 year career as a Telephone Assignment Clerk with the Chesapeake and Potomac Telephone Company. She retired in 1980 and moved to Rehoboth Beach with her loving husband, John, where she had 35 years of leisurely life at the beach during her retirement. Mickey set a wonderful example of putting her family first. She enjoyed going to the beach, walking on the boardwalk with her Thrashers French Fries and fudge from Dollies and traveling. Her wickedly sharp personality and her thoughtful and caring nature will be missed. Most importantly she was devoted to her family whom she loved deeply.
In addition to her parents, Mickey was preceded in death by her loving husband, John Ware, to whom she was married for 54 years; her daughter, Diane Antonelli and two sisters, Jane Skidmore and Elaine Snoots. She was dearly adored by her children Charles, Mark, and Linda; her niece, Sally Bruce; step-son Michael and loved by her eight grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren and her beach children, Cathy and Dave Paulish.
Funeral Services will be held at 2 PM Monday, June 1, 2015 at Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, 16961 Kings Highway, Lewes, DE 19958, where friends may call beginning at 1 PM. Interment will be Tuesday, June 2, 2015 at 11 AM at Ft. Lincoln Cemetery, Brentwood, MD.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions may be made to Delaware Hospice, 100 Patriots Way, Millsboro, DE 19966.
