Mildred C. Young's Obituary
Mildred Cropper Young, age 87, of Lewes, DE died Friday May 16, 2008 at Beebe Medical Center in Lewes, DE. She was born on March 11, 1921, in Williamsville, DE daughter of the late William S. Cropper and Ella M. Daisey Cropper
Mrs. Young had attended Selbyville High School and later worked for many years as a beautician. She enjoyed ceramics, crocheting, needle work and following geneaology. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Unity Chapter # 16. was a member of the DAR. and the Bethel United Methodist Church, Lewes, DE
She was predeceased by her first husband John M. Potts; and her second husband Eugene Franklin Young; a Son-John Jeffrey Potts, Sr.; Brothers-Denver W. Cropper, Hall Cropper, William S. Cropper, and a sister Verlie Cropper.
She is survived by a brother-Oliver Cropper of Fenwick, DE, Grandsons- John J. Potts, Jr. of Newark, DE., and Douglas E. Potts and his wife Tanya of Townsend, DE; niece Janice V. Pepper and several other nieces and nephews.
Eastern Star Services followed by Christian Funeral Services will be held at Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, 16961 Kings Highway, Lewes, DE on Wednesday, May 21, 2008 at 11:00 AM where friends may call one hour prior to services. Pastor Fred Duncan will officiate. Burial will be at Roxanna Cemetery, Roxanna, DE.
