Michaelina F. Price's Obituary
Michaelina (Mickey) Price, 80, passed away peacefully on March 29, 2017, at her home in Lewes , Delaware surrounded by her loving family.
Mickey was born on April 9, 1936 to the late Michael and Julia (Spanier) Bachle.
Mickey attended Eddystone High School in Chester, PA and graduated in 1954. She married Delphos E. Price Sr. on June 2, 1956 in Chester, PA. Her careers included homemaking, nurse’s aide, and unit secretary for 35 years at Beebe Hospital. Mickey also worked in the office as a secretary at the BJ Price plant where she met her husband. She enjoyed gardening, reading, playing games, and spending time with her family. Her favorite holiday was Christmas. Her family shares many fond memories of family picnics at little MomMoms backyard and summers at Crystal Beach.
In addition to her parents, Mickey was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Kate Noden, and Rosemary Aniba, and one brother Jack Bachle. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Delphos E. Price, Sr.; her five children: two sons, Delphos E Price Jr. (Joanne Strong), and Michael Price (Chris), three daughters: Julie (Jim) Proctor, Pat (Byron) Mutchler, and Missy (AJ) Jones; twelve grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; and two sisters: Peg Pekala and Betty Sherman.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, April 9, 2017 at Parsell Funeral Homes and Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, 16961 Kings Highway, Lewes, DE, where friends may visit beginning at 2:00 PM.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Delaware Hospice for their support in her final days.
Mickey inspires the living to be good to their neighbors, strive for success and keep hope alive.
