So sad to hear that Mickey passed away. We have so many amazing memories of Connie and Mickey... as well as Screpesi's South. My parents (Julian and Terry) went to breakfast there almost every single morning... and I joined them whenever I was in town. We are all sending lots of love and prayers for Connie, family and friends.

So sad to hear that Mickey passed away. I know what you are going thru. Remembering all the best times we had together in Delaware, I still miss his good sandwiches. My thoughts and Prays are with you at this time.
Love, Barbara

Connie and Family; so many wonderful memories of Mickey! May these comfort us until the day when we will be together again in our eternal home. God bless and comfort all until that day! All our love, always, Frank (Junior) and Joan
To hear the name Screpesi brings the happiest memories to me. As a young girl living in Wyomissing, I had hundreds of trips to order sandwiches at Screpesi's. Having birch beer with them was great. After I married, I moved to Oregon. Whenever I went back home to Berks County, before I would visit my family, I would return to have my lunch from Screpesi's. One time, I bought an extra suitcase so I could buy extra sandwiches to take back west for my PA friends. I would like say to your family, "Thank you for the joy Michael's life brought to many people near Reading." He was born at the right time for me and my family.
Sending condolences and love to the Screpesi family. I am an 80-plus year old loyal customer.

Sympathy to the Screpesi family. Growing up on Lancaster Avenue, I went to grade school with them, and although I moved away in 1980 - always made it a point to stop by the store on Lancaster Avenue for a "real' Italian! IT is sorrowful to be losing another member of a favorite Reading family.
