Michael Joseph Riordan's Obituary
Michael Joseph Riordan, 73, passed away at his residence in Milton, DE, on August 18, 2025. Born in Bethesda, MD, on February 9, 1952, he was the son of the late Stephen J. Riordan III and Margaret Mary (Byrne) Riordan.
Michael was a gentle giant, best known by all who met him as a kind and thoughtful soul. He was musically gifted and played numerous instruments, including the guitar and organ. He performed in several bands along the East Coast and composed many original musical pieces.
Michael had a deep love for the beach and was a proud, card-carrying member of the Friends of Assateague. He was also known for his exceptional mechanical skills—he maintained and repaired all of his own cars throughout his life.
He is survived by two brothers: Stephen J. Riordan IV of Hollywood, MD, and James Joseph Riordan of Lewes, DE; a sister, Patricia A. Trump; four nieces and nephews; and five grand-nieces and grand-nephews.
Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family.
