Michael Stephen Pouchan Sr.'s Obituary
Michael (Mike) S. Pouchan, Sr., 87, of Millsboro, Delaware, formerly of Allentown, Pennsylvania, and Fort Myers, Florida, passed away peacefully at home with his loving wife of 62 years, Arlene and family by his side.
Mike was a quiet man with a warm and kind heart. He faced many years of significant health challenges with strength, grace, and resilience.
Born in Saint Clair, Pennsylvania, on April 26, 1938, he was the son of John and Catherine Pouchan. A graduate of Saint Clair High School in 1956, he went on to serve in the U.S. Navy from 1956 to 1960 aboard the USS Somers.
During the Vietnam War, he worked at The Boeing Company in Morton, Pennsylvania. He later served as a supervisor for the Exide Company in Allentown, Pennsylvania, for 30 years. After retiring, he and Arlene moved to Fort Myers, Florida, where he worked as a sous chef—his true passion.
In addition to his parents, Mike was predeceased by his sister Justine Schwenk, brother Peter Pouchan, and sister Monica Pouchan.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Arlene; sons Michael, Jr., and David (Elizabeth); grandsons Adam and Alex; brothers John Pouchan, Daniel Pouchan, and Adrian Pouchan; sisters Paula Pouchan, Mary Klemer, and Catherine Hannick. He is also survived by his much-loved nieces and nephews.
