Michael Kenneth Miller's Obituary
Michael Kenneth Miller
Michael Kenneth Miller, age 71, of Milton Delaware, passed away peacefully on April 18, 2026. Born on October 19, 1954, Michael lived a life marked by kindness, simplicity, quiet strength, and tremendous dedication to his family. Michael graduated from St. James Catholic High School, in Chester PA, in the storied Class of 1973. He was known for his great sense of humor, easy-going personality, quick smile, and catchy one-line phrases.
Michael raised his wonderful family in Parkside, PA and during those 22 years he was well known for his daily walks along Edgmont Avenue as well as his service as a volunteer firefighter at the Parkside Fire Company. His professional life was represented by his 47 years working in the hospitality industry. Most recently, where he retired from, Lazy Susan’s in Lewes, Delaware. He worked for M&M Restaurant Supply in Aston, PA. He was a longstanding legend at Phil’s and Jim’s restaurant in Parkside, PA. Outside of work, he cherished living near the beach in Milton, Delaware for the past 20 years. He enjoyed tending to his extensive vegetable garden, going to shows at the Milton Theater, taking long walks on the beach with his wife and dog Elle, regularly undertaking home improvement projects and spending endless time with his children and grandchildren. His family remembers him most by his very identifiable belly laugh and contagious smile. He was an avid Philadelphia sports fan, especially loving the Flyers, Eagles, and Phillies, while his brother’s college football alma mater, The Ohio State Buckeyes, had also claimed a special place in his heart. His greatest hobby was collecting sports memorabilia, gardening and most recently collecting antique clocks.
His favorite past time growing up in Upland, PA was simply being with his parents and four brothers, with Michael proudly being the oldest of the Miller Family’s “five boys.” In his early adulthood, he was well known for his famous purple Gremlin hatchback, as well as his two custom vans complete with shag carpeting throughout and mini fridges. He enjoyed spending time at the Brookhaven Swim Club with many family and friends in the 1970s along with countless trips to The Wildwoods for decades to vacation with his parents and in-laws. He is survived by the love of his life, his wife Linda of 50 years; his children Jason Miller (Bobbie); Justin Miller (Jamie); Jennifer O’Berg (William). His grandchildren; Tyler Miller, Zachary Miller, Reese Miller, Brayden O’Berg, Liam O’Berg, Jordan Miller and Josie Miller.
