Mike was a great colleague and will always be remembered by everyone who had the pleasure of working with him.
Michael,
I've known you and your wonderful family for over 40 years, you helped me tremendously when I was a kid, just getting into politics in Jersey City - even though I was (God Forbid)a Republican! You were always 100% a gentleman, and you always had time to listen to that 'pain in the neck - kid next door'. You are a Good and Decent man Michael - and will always be remembered as such. You and your family will always be an indelible part of my life - from sitting on your front porch with your dad listening to the horrible Yankees of the early 70s on a transistor radio to ringing your Mom's bell to sit and talk with her with my own boys when I was visiting from Florida...I will always have fond memories of your family and will treasure them forever. Mike and Millie - your Son is home.
Reggie - Please accept our deepest sympathies, your brother was a rare commodity and will surely be missed.
Love - Darren
I'm sorry to hear about Mike. He was a great individual. One of the few people that maintained a good reputation in politics. Also, he started me on my career path for which I will always be grateful.
I haven't seen Mike in years but his smile and laugh remain.
"There have been many people involved in politic's that have come, gone and passed away,But you are one of the few whom have always been spoken about in a positive classy way.May your soul rest in peace up in heaven with all our other friends, always a Jersey City guy no matter where you been.No need to worry anymore about the the Democaratic Party for it now eshort one member who made it worth fighting for." God Bless .
Rest in peace.Remembered as a nice guy who loved local politics
Dear Reggie,
Just a note to let you know that I am thinking of you at this time. Please accept my sympathy at the loss of Michael. You know the deep respect and admiration I had for your precious Mother and our common bond, cousin, Brian Higgins, who loved his Aunt Millie and her kids with all his heart. May God bless and comfort you at this time.
Sincerely,
Lou Squitieri
