Michael Thomas Marando's Obituary
Michael Marando passed away on Saturday, September 21, 2024, at Harrison House in Georgetown, DE, at the age of 77. Born and raised in Roselle NJ, Mike later relocated to Bergen County before moving to Delaware in 2022.
A passionate musician, Mike cherished his time with drum corps and played the trumpet in several community bands. His zest for life extended to bowling, golfing, and racing cars, activities that brought him immense joy and fulfillment. His laughter, wisdom, and compassion will be remembered fondly by all who were fortunate enough to know him. Though Mike is gone, his legacy of love will live on in our hearts.
Mike was predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Jean (Burke) Marando, and his brother, Patrick. He is survived by his longtime partner, Beth Linkletter McGarril; his sister, Christine Tamaya (Peter); and his brothers, James and Anthony (Norine). He also leaves behind four nephews, one niece, and a great-niece. He will be fondly remembered by Kelli Bardi (Ryan), Rick McGarril (Jessica), Natalie, Matthew, Keira, and Morrigan.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 19, 2024, from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Sophia's Restaurant in Springfield, NJ. Please RSVP to Beth McGarril at [email protected] by Friday, October 11, 2024.
