Michael Curtis Goins' Obituary
Michael Curtis Goins, 74, of Dagsboro, Delaware, formerly of Mount Airy, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on October 21, 2025.
Born on March 6, 1951, in Mount Airy, he was the son of the late Curtis Goins and Bessie Puckett Goins.
Michael proudly served his country in the United States Army, retiring after a distinguished career. Following his military service, he remained dedicated to his community as a member of Beacon Baptist Church in Millville, Delaware, and the Veterans of Foreign Wars. His sense of duty, faith, and patriotism were guiding forces throughout his life.
Michael was known for his kind heart, generous spirit, and love for family and friends. He enjoyed boating, fishing, and motorcycle riding, and was a devoted fan of the Philadelphia Eagles. He will be remembered for his warm smile, easygoing nature, and the joy he brought to all who knew him.
He is survived by his children, Jason Goins, Sara Huntly, Leanne Rowan, and Michael Stewart; his brother, Mark Goins; his sister, Patsy Lawson; seven grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents.
Michael will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and the many neighbors in Dogwood Acres who knew him as a loyal and caring friend. His legacy of love, service, and laughter will live on in the hearts of those he touched.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, October 27, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Clarksville Chapel, 34874 Atlantic Avenue, Ocean View, Delaware. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
