Michael John DeSantis Jr.'s Obituary
Michael “Jay” DeSantis, 68, passed away peacefully at his home in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, on March 5, 2026. Born April 10, 1957, in Takoma Park, Maryland, he was the son of the late Lonnie and Michael DeSantis.
A 1975 graduate of Wheaton High School, Michael spent his career working at a Cadillac dealership in Maryland. He had a lifelong passion for music and automobiles. Known as “Jay” to friends and family, he enjoyed playing the drums, going out to eat, and listening to classic rock, oldies, and jazz.
He was a proud member of the Elks Lodge for many years and a supporter of the VFW.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon DeSantis; his daughter, Heather Chamblee; his grandchildren, Erin Davis and Malora Garrard; and his great-grandchildren, Emma, Elliot, Cooper, Conner and Valarie.
Jay will be remembered for his kindness, sense of humor, and willingness to help others. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
