Michael J. Coleman's Obituary
Michael J. Coleman, age 64 of Lewes, DE passed away on Monday, January 15, 2018, at Taylor Hospital, in Ridley Park, PA. He was born Thursday, May 21, 1953 in Philadelphia, PA, son of the late John T. and Josephine (Dougherty) Coleman.
Mr. Coleman was a Quality Auditor for Boeing in Philadelphia, PA for 26 years. He was very actively involved at St. Jude the Apostle Catholic Church for many years, where he served as a Eucharistic Minister and sacristan. Mr. Coleman was a known handyman, world traveler and Philadelphia sports fanatic. He will be remembered as one of the happiest people to ever be around and will be dearly missed by everyone who knew him.
Mr. Coleman is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Deborah A. Coleman of Lewes, DE; his daughter, Megan Thompson (Michael) of Lewes, DE; his son, Michael Coleman (Kate) of Chesterbrook, PA; his three grandchildren: Michael, Mia and Mason Thompson; his brothers, John Coleman (Ellen) and Paul Coleman (Betsy); his sisters, Patricia Dixon (Jim) and Eileen Jennings (Mike); his mother-in-law, Adele Brochet; his cherished friends, the Saienni's, Winchell's and Wilsons; and many brothers and sisters in law, nieces, nephews, cousins, coworkers and friends who will miss him.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, January 20, 2018 at 11 AM at the Parish Life Center at St. Jude the Apostle Catholic Church, 152 Tulip Drive, Lewes, DE 19958, where friends may call beginning at 9:00 AM. Burial will follow Mass at Bethel Methodist Cemetery in Lewes, DE.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude the Apostle Catholic Church at the address listed above.
