Michael John Bove's Obituary
Michael John Bove, age 78, of Rehoboth Beach, DE, passed away on Monday, January 23, 2023, at his home. He was born on July 23, 1944, in Philadelphia, PA, son of the late Alfred and Adeline Bove.
Mr. Bove was a proud veteran, having honorably served in the US Army. He built a career as an electrician, working for many years in commercial businesses. A Philadelphian at heart, he remained a loyal and avid Philly sports fan, in particular, the Eagles, who rewarded his steadfast dedication in 2018 with the Superbowl win. Mr. Bove also enjoyed attending Corvette and air shows. More than anything, he appreciated time spent with those he held most dear. Mr. Bove was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend. Loved by many, he will be deeply and genuinely missed by all who were fortunate enough to know him.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Bove was preceded in death by his first wife, Linda Barrett Bove; and his brothers: Dr. Alfred Bove, Richard Bove, and Ronald Bove; He is survived by his loving wife, Katherine Pecko of Rehoboth Beach, DE; his children: Kimberly D'Eletto (James) of Norwood, PA, Debra Kohl (David) of West Chester, PA, and Michael Bove, Jr. (Natalie) of Media, PA; his stepson, Steve Pecko (Lauren); his grandchildren: James D'Eletto, Erica D. Lalli, Theresa Razonski, Jocelyn Romano, Michael Justin Bove, Marissa Kohl, Matthew Kohl, Jaiden Pecko, and Antonio Pecko; his 9 great-grandchildren; and his sisters: Nancy Tapper (Bill) and Carol Gray (Al).
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, February 1, 2023, at 11:00 AM, at Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, 16961 Kings Highway, Lewes, DE, where friends may call beginning at 10:00 AM.
