Michael received his BA in Criminal Justice at the University of Delaware and was hoping to embark on a career in Law Enforcement. An outdoorsman at heart, Michael enjoyed deer and duck hunting and tending to his many canine friends over the years. In his early years he was a member of the Boy Scouts and had received his Eagle Scout Award. As his illness progressed his computer became his friend and permitted him to keep in touch with the outside world that he could not easily venture into.
In addition to his parents Michael is survived by his brother, Robert Best Jr. (Kerri) of Lewes and his two nieces Ally and Elaina; his paternal grandmother, Mary Edna Best of Lewes, DE, his step-father Richard Kroeger of Lewes, DE; his uncle Alfred Best, Jr. (Faye) and his aunt Linda Best (Bruce) both of Lewes, DE.; Aunt and Uncles, Donna and Ed Zook of Wisconsin, Gladys and Greg Sammons of Milford, DE, Robert Scorah of Ft. Myers, Fl., Wayne Scorah of Millsboro, DE, Robert Scorah of Merritt Island, Fl, and many cousins and friends.
