Merlin A. Beil's Obituary

Merlin Alfred Beil, age 85 of Lewes, DE, passed away on Monday, December 2, 2019 at Beebe Healthcare in Lewes, DE. He was born on October 20, 1934 in Greenville, PA, son of the late Alfred M. and Irene (Ordermann) Beil.
Mr. Beil proudly served in the National Guard and served at Fort Miles from 1956-1957. He earned a Bachelor's Degree from Thiele College in Greenville, PA and Master's Degree in Business from the University of Pittsburgh. Mr. Beil worked as an elevator salesperson for 61 years, dedicating 36 years to Otis Elevator and 25 years to Delaware Elevator. He was a member of the Fort Miles Historical Association and Masonic Order Lodge # 767. Above all, Mr. Beil cherished time spent with those he held most dear. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend who was loved by many and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Beil was preceded in death by his sister, Charlotte Zimmer. He is survived by his beloved wife, Yvonne (Miller) Beil of 62 years, of Lewes, DE; his sons: Clark Beil (Jamie) of Fairfax, VA and Craig Beil (Lori) of Collegeville, PA; his daughter, Laurie Miele (Rob) of Bel Air, Maryland; his grandchildren: Chase Beil (Sasha) of Alexandria, VA, Katie Beil of Fairfax, VA, Kyle Miele of Bel Air, Maryland, Ryan Beil of Collegeville, PA, and Steven Beil of Collegeville, PA; and his many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 14, 2019 at 11:00 AM, at Parsell Funeral Homes and Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, 16961 Kings Highway, Lewes, DE, where friends may visit beginning at 10:00 AM. Interment will be private.
