Maude B. Lofgren, age 95, of Lewes, DE passed away peacefully Friday, June 29, 2012 at Cadbury at Lewes. She was born in Webster, ME on February 22. 1917, daughter of the late Charles and Hazel (Jackson) Brewer. She was preceded i Read Obituary
TO MY AUNT WHO HAS ALWAYS BEEN THERE FOR ME ALL THESE YEARS. I AM SO GRATEFUL FOR YOUR SUPPORT AND ALLOWING ME TO JUST POP IN WHENEVER I NEEDED TO VISIT. I MISS YOU A LOT BUT KNOW THAT YOU ARE NOW WITH YOUR FAMILY AND THAT MAKES YOUR HAVING TO LEAVE US A LITTLE EASIER. LOTS OF LOVE BEV.
Aunt Maude,
I thought I saw your face today in the sparkle of the morning sun.
And then I heard an angel say
your work on earth was finally done.
I thought I heard your voice today that laughed your hearty laugh.
And then I heard an angel say
that you were now in peace at last.
We all will miss you, Aunt Maude, with your personal warmth and caring, your many words of wisdom, your great smile, and your delicious chicken and noodle casserole. I am proud to have ‘known’ you every day of my life as you were there to aid in my birth some 70+ years ago. Thank you, Aunt Maude, for so very much. My love goes out to our family and to Maude's friends in Aunt Maude's passing. These last few months she fought a good fight and now rests in peace with our Lord. I will always remember her wonderful pies, which she made easier than I can make cookies! As a child I was always amazed that, when she lived on the farm, she loved to pick those seemingly tiny, wild strawberries just to make jam. My conversations with her were always helpful and a joy. Although I did not get to see her much, she was a valued Aunt and thus special to me. Her strong will and determination made her the capable woman that she was. She will be missed!

My Great Aunt Maude will be greatly missed ,
She was one of the wisest women I have ever had the privilege to know. She was a fabulous nonjudgemental listener and had great common sense advice!
My daughters and I can only hope to be such a wonderful, caring, and wise women as she!

We will miss Aunt Maude very much. She was such a fine lady. Barbara so enjoyed playing Scrabble with her as she was a fun player.
