Marylou Kinsey's Obituary
Marylou Kinsey, age 87, of Laurel, DE, passed away on December 23, 2023, at Delmar Nursing and Rehabilitation. She was born in Media, PA, on June 15, 1936, daughter of the late Joseph William Glenn, Jr. and Marylouella Beatty-Glenn.
Ms. Kinsey graduated from Nether Providence High School, Class of 1954. She then attended Virginia Commonwealth Medical College (VCU) where she earned her Bachelor of Science. She moved to Seaford, DE where she remained for over 50 years. Ms. Kinsey made her career as a physical therapist for numerous hospitals throughout her life. Caring for her patients was her passion.
In her spare time, you could find Ms. Kinsey doing needlework, creating beautiful pieces her family cherishes. She had a green thumb and loved working in the garden and getting her hands dirty. In her early years she liked playing field hockey but enjoyed watching all sports. A true dog lover, Ms. Kinsey loved her Dobermans and pugs.
In addition to her parents, Ms. Kinsey was preceded in death by her son, Jeffrey Scott Kinsey in 2022 and her sisters, Barbara Leva and Gerri Hagar. She is survived by her daughters: Kathi Ann Breeding (Donald) and Jody Lynn Cyr (Joseph); her grandchildren: Jimmy Willey (Amy), Jaxson Ward, Justin Willey, and Stacey Faivre (Thomas); her great grandchildren: Rylee Marie Lones, Thomas "Carter" Faivre, and Addison Grace Faivre; her sister, Deborah Lefort of NY; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, January 4, 2023 at 3:00 PM at Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Hardesty Chapel, 202 Laws Street, Bridgeville, DE 19933, where friends may visit beginning at 2:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, please send memorial contributions in Ms. Kinsey's name to Compassionate Care Hospice, 21309 Berlin Road, Sussex Suites, Unit 9, Georgetown, Delaware, 19947.
