I was so lucky to meet you, Maryanne, and your delightful children a few years ago, as you were getting to know my daughter, Sheila, and her young daughter, Vivian. You and Maryanne generously let me “adopt” one of your furry lost souls, an adorable black and white kitten who you had appropriately named Scout. Dave and family, I send sincere sympathy in your loss. What were the chances that I walked my little friend to Saint Thomas’ and later became connected through our mutual concern for others.
