Mary "Thelma" Warneke's Obituary
Mary Thelma Warneke, age 97, of Rehoboth Beach, DE, died on Thursday, December 6, 2012, at Brandywine Assisted Living in Rehoboth Beach. She was born in Shadyside, MD on Friday, January 1, 1915, daughter of the late Clarence Alton and Mary Elnora (Brandhoff) Linton.
Mrs. Warneke moved to Delaware in 1980 from Maryland. Mrs. Warneke attended Eastern High School in Baltimore, MD. In her working years, Mrs. Warneke was one of ten women who worked at the Glenn L. Martin airplane building plant outside of Baltimore. She was a faithful member of the Lutheran Church of Our Savior in Rehoboth Beach.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Warneke was preceded in death by her husband Howard "Bud" Warneke in 2001; siblings Clarence Linton and Catherine Elnora Linton both formerly of Baltimore, MD. She is survived by her daughter Mary Linton Beaven of Solomon's Island, MD and two grandchildren: Mary Alana Beaven and Emma Elnora Beaven.
A Celebration of Life for Mrs. Warneke will be held on Friday, December 14, 2012 at 11:00 AM at the Lutheran Church of Our Savior, 20276 Bay Vista Road, Rehoboth Beach. Visitation will begin at 10:00 at the church. Interment will be private at Henlopen Memorial Park, Milton, DE. Arrangements are being handled by Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Lewes, DE.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Delaware Hospice, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963.
