Mary Lynch Taylor's Obituary
Mary Lynch Taylor, age 94 of Rehoboth Beach, Delaware passed away on Sunday, June 20, 2010, at Beebe Medical Center in Lewes, Delaware. Mrs. Taylor was born in Lewes on December 31, 1915, daughter of the late Capt. Clarence K. Lynch and Caroline Pettyjohn Lynch.
A lifelong resident of Rehoboth Beach, Mrs. Taylor was a graduate of the Rehoboth High School and the Beebe Hospital School of Nursing. During her career she was a private nurse for Mr. and Mrs. A. Felix duPont and worked on the fourth floor at Beebe Medical Center.
She was a longtime member of the Epworth United Methodist Church of Rehoboth Beach and member of the New Covenant Presbyterian Church. For many years she was also a member of the Rehoboth Beach Country Club.
In addition to her parents Mrs. Taylor was predeceased by her husband Robert S. Taylor in 1953 and her grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Edward S. Pettyjohn.
Surviving is her sister Ann Lynch Dyer and husband Preston of Rehoboth Beach, DE; one nephew Pret Dyer and wife Debbie; and three great nephews, Trip, Mason, and Madison Dyer. Her three caregivers were Charlotte Walker, Ruth Miller and Cindy LaSalle.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, June 25, 2010 at 10:00 AM at Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, 16961 Kings Highway, Lewes, DE. Burial will be private at Union Cemetery, Georgetown, DE.
In lieu of flowers contributions are suggested to New Covenant Presbyterian Church, 3072 Savannah East Drive, Lewes, DE 19958 or to the Beebe School of Nursing Scholarship Fund, 424 Savannah Road, Lewes, DE 19958
