Friend of my heart, Mary Anne. We had such memorable times teaching together at Academy Elementary School. You were a very special person in my life, a friend, a mentor, a beautiful person. I treasure the memories. My thoughts are with Doug and David at this time.

I fondly remember Mary Ann while she was a teacher at Brown Middle School in Madison Ct. Her compassion and wisdom made her an exceptional teacher. Her work with the children needing special help made her a hero to many of us. Deepest condolences to Mary Ann's sons and family.

Mary Anne Steele was a teacher at Brown Middle school, when my daughters were there and I was a substitute. She was a lovely person, a great caring teacher and my daughter Kristin, loved her. I am so very sorry to hear of her passing and very, very glad, that I happened to run into her a few years ago, when she was visiting in Madison.
Mrs. Steele taught my son in 5th grade 15 years ago in Madison. She was a wonderful teacher. I'm so sorry about her passing.
