Mary Anne Naples' Obituary
Mary Anne Naples, age 92, of Lewes, DE, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 3, 2025, at ExcelCare Nursing Home in Lewes.
Born on September 8, 1932, in Westborough, Massachusetts, Mary Anne was the daughter of the late Patrick and Annie (Aldridge) Dunne. She carried the warmth and values of her New England upbringing throughout her life.
Mary Anne was married to the love of her life, Charles H. Naples, Jr., with whom she shared a long and devoted partnership. Together, they built a beautiful life rooted in family, faith, and hard work. Their love story was one of mutual respect, shared purpose, and deep affection.
A talented businesswoman with a nurturing spirit, Mary Anne was the proud owner of Naples Flowers, a beloved local flower shop. She dedicated her life to the art of floral design and the joy that flowers bring to others. Her days were filled with arranging beautiful bouquets and helping others celebrate life’s most meaningful moments. Through her work, Mary Anne touched the lives of countless members of her community.
Outside of her professional life, she found joy in knitting and spending cherished time with her grandchildren. Her gentle presence and quiet wisdom were the heart of her family, and her legacy lives on in the generations she so dearly loved.
Mary Anne is survived by her loving children, Patricia A. Chille (Robert) and David C. Naples (Teresa); her grandchildren, Amanda Crum, Ashley Bowen, Tyler Naples, and Adam Naples; and her great-grandchildren, Braden, Connor, and Declan Crum. She is also survived by her dear sister, Eileen (Dunne) Flahive.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles H. Naples, Jr.; her sister, Dorothy Ross; and her brother, James Dunne.
In accordance with her wishes, funeral services will be private.
