Mary Catherine "KItty" Bookhammer's Obituary
Mary Catherine Williams Bookhammer, age 87 of Rehoboth Beach, DE. died Thursday December 1, 2005 at her residence. Mrs. Bookhammer, affectionately known as "Kitty" was born in Milford, DE. daughter of the late John E. Williams and Myrtle Evans Williams.
She graduated from Milford High School. She had attended Principia College in Missouri and Beacom College, Wilmington, DE. She was a member of the Rehoboth Beach Yacht and Country Club. She loved to dance, was an avid reader, enjoyed playing bridge, and loved arranging flowers.
She is survived by her husband of 63 years, the former State Senator and Lieutenant Governor Eugene D. Bookhammer, two daughters Joy Basinski and husband Orville of Rehoboth Beach, DE and Jeanie Greenhaugh of Lewes, DE; one sister Janis Hendrix and her husband "B.G." of Fort Smith Arkansas and one brother William L. Williams and wife Catherine of Lewes, DE; and several nieces and nephews.
Services and burial will be private.
