Mary A. Fiedler's Obituary
Mary Alice Gentry Fiedler, age 92, of Ocean View, passed away at Beebe Hospital on May 12, 2016 after a brief illness. Mary Alice was born September 23, 1923 in Wilkes County North Carolina. A high school and business school graduate, she married Henry Fiedler, Jr., on February 15, 1947 in Baltimore with whom she shared 69 glorious years of marriage. Before raising a family, she worked at the FBI and helped build aircraft during WW II. Mary Alice loved to travel, cook, and spend time with family and friends. She was the loving mother of Henry and his wife Patricia, Mark and his wife Brenda, and Russell and his wife Dolores. Grandmother of Michelle, Mark II, Jillian, and Olivia. Great grandmother of Nick and Austin, Step-grandmother of Derek and his wife Melissa, Kirstin and her husband Adam, and Step-great grandmother of Sophia, Ava, Saylor and Ruby. She was predeceased by her daughter in law Marcia.
We will honor Mary Alice's life with a Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday May 17 at 12:00 PM, at St. Ann Catholic Church, 691 Garfield Parkway, Bethany Beach, where friends may call beginning at 11:00 AM. A reception immediately following at the church hall. Interment will be private at the Delaware Veteran's Cemetery.
