Mary M. Ferrese's Obituary
Mary M. (Taraschi) Ferrese, 90, of Lewes, DE passed away on Saturday, August 18, 2007 at Beebe Medical Center in Lewes, DE. She was born September 8, 1916, in Philadelphia, PA, daughter of the late Bernard Taraschi and Angelina (Assante') Taraschi.
For many years she had been employed as a seamstress for the U.S. Government at the Quartermaster Depot in Philadelphia. Mrs. Ferrese moved to Sussex County five years ago from New Jersey.
She was predeceased by her husband Joseph A. Ferrese; three brothers, Fred, Al and Bernie Ferrese; and four sisters, Ella Godericci, Edith Feldman, Clitilda Bambino and Josephine Taraschi. She is survived by her daughter Joyce M. Bright and her husband Robert of Lewes; son Ernest Ferrese and his wife Mary Ann of Morgantown, PA; grandson Robert Bright, Jr. and his wife Anna of Charleston, SC; grandson Thomas Bright and his wife Jennifer of Lynchburg, VA; grandson Mark Ferrese of Morgantown, PA; and two great-grandchildren, Thomas Bright Jr. and Abigail Marie Bright.
Funeral services will be held at Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, 16961 Kings Highway on Thursday, August 23, 2007 at 2:00 PM where friends may call one hour prior to services. Burial will be private.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to: Harbor Healthcare & Rehab Center, 301 Ocean View Blvd., Lewes, DE 19958.
