Mary C. Wolfe's Obituary
Mary C. Wolfe went to Heaven to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, August 8, 2024.
Mary was born on the Wolfe family homestead in the fall of 1932. She graduated from Shields High School in 1951. Mary graduated achieving honors in public speaking, being the fastest typist in her class and four years of perfect attendance.
The Monday following graduation she started her summer job at the Rehoboth post office. Mary worked at the WJWL radio station as continuity director. Following that, she spent forty-two years with DP&L. Mary’s hard work led her to achieving the position of the first female district manager at DP&L. She was very proud of this accomplishment.
Mary enjoyed the visits, phone calls and letters from her friends and family. She was a very loving and caring person and took care of many dear friends and family, providing them with the very best of care. She cherished her close friends and often spoke of them with love and kindness.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Reese D. Wolfe. She is survived by her niece, Kathy Thompson (Mark); her great nephew, Dan Thompson and his wife Kari and their children, Carter and Cameron; her great niece, Melony Messina (Anthony), and their children, Harper and Vinny. Mary is also survived by her cat, Baby, whom she loved dearly.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 21, 2024, at 2:00 PM at Parsell Funeral Home & Crematorium, 16961 Kings Highway, Lewes, DE, where family and friends may visit beginning at 1:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, Mary requested that a donation be made to The Tunnel Cancer Center in honor of Dr. Srihari Peri.
