Marshall Brooke Strickler's Obituary
Marshall Brooke Strickler, age 72 of Rehoboth Beach, DE passed away on Tuesday, December 20, 2022. He was born on June 6, 1950, in Baltimore, MD, son of the late Marshall B. and June E. (Airey) Strickler.
Mr. Strickler attended McDonogh School 3rd to 12th grade. He continued his studies at Towson State College and obtained a master's degree in education at Johns Hopkins University. On August 21, 1982, Mr. Strickler married the love of his life, Joan DeMauro Strickler and they shared 40 beautiful years together. He enjoyed a lifelong career as a teacher in addition to being the department chair of special needs students, including Lansdowne High School, Loch Raven High School, and Rosedale Alternative Center, retiring after 30 dedicated years.
Mr. Strickler had many hobbies and interests, including golfing, gardening, surf fishing, and watching football, always cheering with enthusiasm at countless football games and rooting for his favorite team, the Baltimore Ravens. He was also a lottery and football speculator, an interest that his friends and family found awesome. In addition, Mr. Strickler was a Mason, a proud member of the Boumi Temple Shriner 33rd degree, and member of the Corinthian Lodge. Time spent with his loved ones was cherished above all. Mr. Strickler was a loving and devoted husband, and Airedale parent to Troy, Sawyer, and Parker. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Mr. Strickler is survived by his beloved wife of 40 years, Joan DeMauro Strickler.
