Marshall McGowan's Obituary
Marshall Polk McGowan, age 81, passed away on February 6, 2020 at his home in Lewes, DE. Marshall was born on January 21, 1939 in Martinsville, VA, son of the late William F. and Prudence Polk McGowan.
Marshall graduated from Mt. Pleasant High School in Wilmington, DE and received his Bachelor’s Degree from Wesleyan University in Middletown, CT. He lived for many years in Wilmington, Rehoboth Beach, and Lewes, DE, where he worked at Midway Par3 Golf Course.
Marshall loved playing golf and going boating. He enjoyed many a happy summer at the McGowan family lake home with his friends and relatives on St. Joseph Island in Canada.
Marshall is survived by his brother, William F. McGowan, Jr. and his wife Barbara; his nephew George Marshall; and his niece, Gina.
A private interment will take place in Florida.
