Marshal Joseph Ferguson's Obituary
Marshal Joseph Ferguson, age 30, of Lewes, DE, passed away at his home on Friday, September 12, 2008. He was born in Zanesville, OH and graduated from Tri-Valley High School.
Marshal enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corp when war was imminent in Iraq and served there as a sniper. He fought valiantly in an intense battle at Abu-Grav Prison. Marshal also had training in surveying with the Marines and worked in that field when he was discharged. He was currently working for Delcard Associates of Wilmington, DE as a plumber and was helping to build the new Cape Henlopen High School.
Marshal was extraordinarily gifted. He could fix just about anything. His capacity for love and laughter overwhelmed us; everyone who met him wanted to be his friend. He gave us immeasurable joy and we shall not be able to fill the void his passing has left in our lives.
Marshal is survived by his parents, Michael and Sharon Ferguson of Lewes; his grandmother Hermine Frasz of Mansfield, OH; fiance Rebecca Walker of Lewes; her parents Stan and Connie Walker; her sister Tracie and Tracie's daughter Mia; and the rest of her wonderful family; many aunts, uncles, cousins; an extensive extended family across Delmarva; and Dottie the wonder-weiner-dog.
A Catholic Blessing Service will be held Friday, September 19, 2008, 2:00 PM, at Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, 16961 Kings Highway, Lewes, DE. Father Daniel McCloskey will officiate. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday beginning at 1 PM. Interment will be private.
