Marlene L. Banaszewski's Obituary
Marlene L. Banaszewski, age 89 of Lewes, DE passed away peacefully on Friday, February 23, 2024, at Delaware Hospice Center in Milford, DE. She was born on November 25, 1934, in Baltimore, MD, daughter of the late Frank Frazier Sr. and Loretta (Praglowski) Frazier. She was a devoted wife to Anthony (Tony) Banaszewski for 56 years before his passing in 2008.
For 20 years, Marlene worked for Patapsco Federal Savings and Loan in Baltimore as a bank teller and retired as a loan officer. Marlene and Tony moved to Lewes in 1997 and enjoyed the serenity of their home and the closeness of the beach. She took pride in her gardens and enjoyed tending to them.
She is survived by two daughters, Deborah Tartal (Ray) of Lewes, and Brenda Cohee (Don) of Stevensville, MD; her grandchildren: Raymond Tartal (Malorie), Jacob Tartal (Marissa) and Aaron Tartal all of Lewes, DE, Rick Pedrick Jr. of Centreville, MD, Amanda Wilson ( Justin) of Centreville, MD, and DJ Cohee and Christine Cohee of Stevensville, MD; ten great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and her siblings: Frank Frazier of Stevensville, MD, Geri Wisniewski of Glen Rock, PA, and Linda Coco of Lewes, DE.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, March 7, 2024, at 11:00 AM at St. Jude the Apostle Church, 152 Tulip Dr #1689, Lewes, DE 19958, where friends and family may visit beginning at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at All Saints Cemetery, 20274 Beaver Dam Road at Rt. 23, Harbeson, DE.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Marlene's memory to Delaware Hospice Center, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963.
