It was my last day in Delaware, Rehoboth Beach on September 20th and I was so grateful to see him in front of his house. He asked me for a picture and I stopped and looked at him with a smile.
This was a special moment for me, with a very special person. I was blessed to know a man like Mark and I learned many life lessons from him.
He was wonderful, kind, such a wise man, father, husband and friend.
This is the Mark I knew. We would walk our black labs together, many mornings over several years, around Gulf Harbour. He was always gracious, treats for the dogs we passed, and he often asked about me and my family. He liked to talk about current events, politics, and finances, he was very well versed in these areas. One cold day he showed up wearing a military jacket, his son sent him from overseas, he was very proud of both.
I'm going to miss him, really seems unfair he passed so young. My condolences to his family.
I introduced him to "doggie beach" in Bonita Springs. Corby loves it there. Mark and I would stand in the shallows as the dogs played. Mark would often comment the best part was a tired Corby afterwards. I still go every weekend, Corby is always welcome to join me.
Thank you for sharing the memorial service. Mark was truly an extraordinary human in so very many respects. My life was richer from knowing and working with him and the world is less without him in it ...

This memory goes back about 70 years ... it is of Mark & my sister Pam (his cousin) sitting on the basement steps together munching of Milk Bone dog bones! They were close and I will never forget either ...
