Rev Mark Stephen Abbott of Cleveland, TN, passed away on Thursday, April 15, 2021, following a brief illness. He was 61. Born in Seaford, DE, he was called to the ministry as a teenager and became an ordained bishop in the Church Read Obituary
Mark and I were in Rotary together. My mother is from Seaford DE so we had some good conversations about DE. Mark was a kind and generous person with an easy smile and a delightful conversationalist. We will miss him here in Cleveland TN and especially miss him in our Rotary club. It is comforting to know we will see him again and he has received his eternal reward. Prayers for comfort to his family during this difficult time.

Shelia and I are so sad to hear of Mark's passing. We are praying for all of you. You both were so vital in establishing the Alpha Omega Campus Ministries within the Church of God and in several foreign countries. Greater than this was your and Mark's confidence and trust in us to lead this work and place the support and tools in our hands to accomplish it. Most of all your were trusted and dependable friends of the heart and we will never forget Mark and his leadership. his encouragement and his determination to see us all reach the college students.
