Marjorie Wooding's Obituary
Marjorie Ann (Berryman) Wooding, age 78, of Milton, DE, died Friday, April 4, 2008, at Harbor Healthcare & Rehab. Center in Lewes, DE. Marge was born in Philadelphia, PA, on March 20, 1930, daughter of the late Henry James Berryman and Sarah Maude (Jackson) Berryman.
She married her husband Thomas C. Wooding in October 1956. They moved to Lewes, DE in 1983 from Greensburg, PA. Marge was an owner and proprietor with her family of Woodings Beach Deli in Lewes, DE from 1983 to 1993. She was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church in Lewes where she was a member of the Chancel Choir for many years. She had sung in choirs for over 50 years. Marge also had directed childrens choirs at both Bethel United Methodist Church, Lewes, and Charter Oak United Methodist Church in Latrobe, PA.
In addition to her husband Tom, she is survived by two daughters and 2 sons-in-law: Elizabeth Ann Shannon & husband David of McDonald, PA and Diane Louise Vickers & husband Edwin of Milton, DE; a son & daughter-in-law: -Henry "Harry" Clark Wooding & wife Kimberly of Milton, DE; 5 grandchildren: Andrew, Eric, Thomas, Patrick and Stacey; and 2 great grandchildren: Logan and Allie.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday April 8, 2008 at 11:00 A.M. at Bethel United Methodist Church, 129 West Fourth St. Lewes, DE , where friends may call at 10:00 A.M. Pastor Fred Duncan will officiate. Friends may also call on Monday evening April 7 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, 16961 Kings Highway, Lewes, DE.
Interment will be in Henlopen Memorial Park, Route 1 near Milton, DE.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Bethel Methodist Chancel Choir, 129 West Fourth Street, Lewes, DE 19958 or to Tunnell Cancer Center, 424 Savannah Road, Lewes, DE 19958.
