Marjorie A. Greenberg's Obituary
Marjorie A. Greenberg, age 85, of Georgetown, DE, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 15, 2012 at the Harrison House in Georgetown. She was born March 11, 1927 in Wilkes-Barre, PA, daughter of the late Stephen and Elva (Bankes) Olshefski.
Mrs. Greenberg moved to Sussex County in 1995 from Wilmington, DE. She had a long career working for Shop Rite and Pathmark (25 years) in the meat and deli departments. She thoroughly enjoyed living near the beach in her retirement years and spending quality time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Dining out with her family was one of her favorite pastimes.
A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, July 19, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Dodd-Carey Chapel, 307 N. Bedford Street, Georgetown, DE. The family will greet friends at the funeral home beginning at 10:00 AM. Interment will be private at Beth Emeth Memorial Park in Wilmington, DE.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Greenberg was preceded in death by her husband David Greenberg (1983) and her brother Stephen Olshefski. She is survived by her two sons: Mark S. Greenberg and his wife Kathy of Millstone Twp., NJ and Richard Greenberg and his wife Diane of Georgetown, DE; six grandchildren: Matthew R. Greenberg and wife Anita of Newark, DE, Stephanie Corris and husband Leonard of Cherry Hill, NJ, Jason Greenberg of Millstone Twp., NJ, Brian Greenberg and wife Elizabeth of Reston, VA, Buffy Lynn Hoeger of West Grove, PA, and Sean Hague of Claymont, DE; and six great-grandchildren: Katelyn and Camryn Corris of Cherry Hill, NJ, Chase and Emmaline Greenberg of Reston, VA, and Gabriel and Joel Greenberg of Newark, DE.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Delaware Hospice, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963 or to American Cancer Society, PO Box 163, Salisbury, MD 21803.
