Marion Louise Hatch's Obituary
Marion Louise (Rand) Hatch, age 75 of Lewes, DE passed away on Wednesday, February 4, 2015 at her home. She was born in Bangor, ME on February 7, 1939, daughter of the late Francis and Eleanor (McAlpine) Rand.
Marion enjoyed a long career as a Manager in Retail Clothing lines in New Castle, Dover, Rehoboth Beach and Bethany, DE areas. She was very involved in the American Baptist Women's group, a ministry she was devoted to. She loved collecting snowmen and shelling on the local beaches. Marion was a talented crafter, teaching classes in candle making. She was a woman who always put family first, spending time with her family and friends, especially her adoring grandchildren. Marion enjoyed taking long walks on the beach or in her neighborhood. She was always there for family and friends alike, her love and support will be greatly missed.
In addition to her parents, Marion was preceded in death by her son, Gregory Hatch. She is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Leonard Hatch of Lewes, DE; two sons, Jeffrey L. Hatch of Lincoln, DE; Tim Hatch and his companion, Susan White of Milford, DE; a daughter, Laura Reilly and her husband Kevin of Richmond, VA; six grandchildren, Joshua Reilly, Matthew Reilly, Skylar Hatch, Julie White, Noah Hickman and Brady Hatch.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11 AM Friday, February 13, 2014 at Epworth United Methodist Church, 19285 Holland Glade Road, Rehoboth Beach, DE 19971, where friends may visit beginning at 10 AM. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Epworth United Methodist Church, 19285 Holland Glade Road, Rehoboth Beach, DE 19971 designated for the Immanuel Shelter for the Homeless.
