Marilyn E. Haines' Obituary
Marilyn E. Haines, age 80 of Lewes, DE passed away at home on Saturday, April 8, 2023. She was born on November 5, 1942 in Passaic, NJ, daughter of the late Albert and Elizabeth Magdall.
Mrs. Haines made her career as a social worker with the Department of Developmental Disabilities for the State of New Jersey. In 2000, she and her husband, Philip, moved to Delaware where they would enjoy their retirement. She was an avid painter and gardener and proud lover of cats. Mr. and Mrs. Haines enjoyed traveling in their spare time, especially relaxing on cruises together. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who will be missed by all who knew her.
Mrs. Haines is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Philip R. Haines; her son, Dale Haines and his wife Kathleen; and her two grandsons: Sean and Mark Haines.
Services will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Mrs. Haines honor may be made to the Sussex County MS Shore Group at 112 Sylva Drive, c.o. Colvett, Milton, DE 19968.
