Marilyn Grose's Obituary
Marilyn B. Grose of Lewes, DE passed away on December 6, 2015 with loved ones by her side. She was born on December 8, 1930 in Beckley, WV, daughter of the late John and Anna (Wood) Bennett.
Marilyn married James B. Grose and together with their children traveled from base to base around the world. She loved to tell stories about all the places she had been, though her heart was always with the mountains of West Virginia.
In her earlier years, she was a volunteer for the Red Cross and also a 20 plus year member of the Georgetown, DE Kingdom Hall. She was a homemaker, a great Mom and grandmother. Babies were the highlight of her life and always brought a smile to her face. Marilyn was all that is good and kind in this world. She would give the shirt off her back to anyone in need and she always did the right thing. Simply put, Marilyn was an Angel.
Marilyn was greatly loved and will be sorely missed.
In addition to her parents, Marilyn was preceded in death by her husband, James B. Grose. She is survived by her brother, John Bennett and his wife Catherine of Dunbar, WV; her children, James Grose, Jr., John Grose, Dianna Grose and her husband Mike Templet, Lawrence Grose and his wife Tracy Grose; her grandchildren, Julia Shelton, John Grose and Amanda and Lawrence Grose, Jr.; her great-grandchildren, Tyler and Shelby Shelton, Ky'lynn Grose, Jacob Grose, Aubrey Grose and Caleb Grose.
