Marilyn Yarley Davis' Obituary
Marilyn Yarley Davis, age 79, of Bridgeville, DE, passed away on Monday, January 5, 2015 at Harrison Senior Living in Georgetown, DE. She was born in Walterboro, SC, on April 4, 1935, daughter of the late Dewey H. and Brunie (Autrey) Yarley.
Mrs. Davis received her Bachelor's degree from East Carolina University in Greenville, NC. She married the love of her life, Charles G. Davis in January of 1956 and became a homemaker. She enjoyed taking care of her family and raising her children. She was a talented seamstress who also had a knack for refinishing furniture. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Davis was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Charles G. Davis in 2007. She is survived by three children, Cynthia G. Davis of Jupiter, FL, Stephanie D. Perciful and her husband Robert A. of Lewes, DE and Charlene D. Hunsberger and her husband Thomas L. of Bridgeville, DE; two grandchildren, Andrew Perciful and Elizabeth Perciful both of New Orleans, LA; a great-grandson, Gram Perciful and a brother, Dewey H. Yarley and his wife Ann of Durham, NC.
Memorial Services will be held on Friday, January 9, 2015, at 11:00 AM, at Union United Methodist Church, 2 N. Laws Street, Bridgeville, DE 19933, where friends may call beginning at 10:30 AM. Interment will be private.
Memorial contributions may be made in Mrs. Davis' memory to Union United Methodist Church, 2 North Laws Street, Bridgeville, DE or Multiple Sclerosis Society, 2 Mill Road, Suite 106, Wilmington, DE 19806.
