Marie Josephine Shockley's Obituary
Marie Josephine (Crescenzi) Shockley, age 76, of Harbeson, DE, passed away Saturday, April 12, 2008 at Beebe Medical Center. Mrs. Shockley was born January 26, 1932 in Chicago, IL, daughter of the late Joseph and Josephine (Bolderghini) Crescenzi.
Mrs. Shockley was employed as a food service worker with the Cape May-Lewes Ferry from 1998 until the time of her death. Prior to that, she retired from the Cape Henlopen School District after serving 20 years as a food service worker. She was an avid reader and enjoyed traveling.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband William Raymond Shockley (1972) and her companion J.T. Moore. She is survived by two daughters, Mary Legg and her husband Robert of Harbeson, DE and Alicia Younger and her husband Randy of Oklahoma; four sons, Joseph Shockley and his wife Patty of Milford, DE, William Shockley Jr. and his wife Julia formerly of Georgetown, DE, Robert Shockley and his wife Kimberly of Lewes, DE and Paul Shockley and his wife Leslie of Oklahoma; 18 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; her sister-in-law, Mary Bennett of Dover, DE; many nieces and nephews; and Sue Moore and Carolyn Hutchinson and their extended families.
Graveside services with Pastor Bob Muncy officiating will be held Friday, April 18, 2008, 11 AM, at Odd Fellows Cemetery, 35 Rising Sun Road, Camden Wyoming, DE.
The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 7-9 PM at Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, 16961 Kings Highway, Lewes, DE.
