To Maria's family and friends: You are in my heart and in my prayers as you grieve the loss of Maria. I enjoyed her so much as a friend, fellow Lewes Historical Society docent, Delaware Symphony lover, and community leader. She was a joy to know.
Maria was such a gentle soul. Her beautiful blue eyes will shine with ideas and advise. My husband and I enjoyed her conversation and her vision. I am grateful for the time she talk with us.L
Dear family- I so enjoyed knowing Marie for so many years. She was a very special lady and good friend. I will always remember our times together in college and through our retirement years when the sorority sisters met at the beach. My life was enhanced by sharing so many good times with Marie. I will miss her. Love to all the family.
Maria was such an important part of our community, as I knew she was for all the other groups and individuals who have indicated their great sadness at her passing.
She was to me, a neighbor, a friend, a confidant and a teacher.
Few people leave any discernible footprints on the road of life, but Maria left impressions that will never erode away.

I didn't know Maria well, but I know that her heart was in Lewes. Maria was dedicated to this city, she was a fixture at city meetings I attended.e She will be missed.
Maria used her energy to make it a better place in this world and community. I will never forget campaigning with her door to door in the Bayside community all day when she ran for office. She used her time on this earth well.
