Marguerite "Peggy" Mary O'Brien-Ferraro's Obituary
Marguerite “Peggy” O’Brien-Ferraro, age 74, of Bridgeville, DE, and formerly of Staten Island, NY, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, at Delaware Bay Healthcare.
Born on October 1, 1951, in Staten Island, NY, Peggy was the daughter of the late Joseph O’Brien Sr. and Maeguerite (Landy) O’Brien. She was educated in Staten Island, where she graduated from high school.
On April 27, 2003, Peggy married the love of her life, Mariano Ferraro, and together they shared many happy years filled with laughter, companionship, and devotion until his passing.
Peggy enjoyed a long and successful career with Chase Manhattan Bank, where she worked as an administrative assistant for 30 years before retiring. She was known for her attention to detail, dedication, and the kindness she brought to her workplace every day.
In her retirement, Peggy loved spending time doing Sudoku puzzles and relaxing by the pool. She cherished quiet moments with family and friends and brought warmth and joy to those around her.
She is survived by her niece, Erin Marie O’Brien, and her nephew, Christopher O’Brien. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her beloved husband, Mariano Ferraro, and her brothers, Joseph O’Brien Jr. and Francis O’Brien.
Peggy will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Her gentle spirit, generous heart, and warm smile will be remembered always.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Hardesty Chapel, 202 Laws Street, Bridgeville, DE 19933, on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, where a viewing will be held from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, and again from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 528 E. Stein Highway, Seaford, DE 19973. Chapel committal services will follow at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 26669 Patriots Way, Millsboro, DE 19966, at 1:00 PM.
