I never met Peggy "face to face". When she was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma someone called me and asked if I would speak with her as I also have MM. Peggy
called and we talked for well over an hour. I felt as though I knew who she was when we hung up our phones. Regretfully, we only spoke the one time. I had her on my prayer list for years. She's the third female acquaintance I've met and lost to this disease. I now have a local female church friend and a sister of a friend in CT who recently achieved remission. I just pray it lasts a long time. I'll have 14 yrs of remission in June 2018. The first male patient with MM I met in December..he also has other health issues that may make his treatment more difficult. I still have no idea where MM comes from.
I'm extremely sorry to learn we lost Peggy. Please let me know when her Memorial Service will be held. I'd like to pay respects to her and her 10-year fight if at all possible. She was a fighter. My condolences to Peggy's family and close friends.
