Margaret Wren Mullen's Obituary
Margaret Wren Mullen (Boots), age 85, of Rehoboth? Beach, DE passed away at her home with her family surrounding her on Wednesday, December 31, 2014. She was born on September 4, 1929 in Mullens, WV, daughter of the late William and Marion (King) Wren.
Mrs. Mullen enjoyed a 25 year career with the Department of Defense where she worked both at Cameron Station and the Pentagon. She was a member of the Village Improvement Association in Rehoboth Beach, DE and at the Rehoboth Beach Library where she volunteered as a Shelf Elf. She was also a member of Epworth Methodist Church where she did volunteer work. She was an avid reader who also enjoyed playing bridge and going to the slots at Dover Downs.
Her main priority in life was her family. Her eternal optimism, her faith in God, and her smile helped guide her family throughout the years.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Mullen was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Bill Edward Mullen, Sr. in 2014 and a son, David Mullen in 1997. She is survived by her two sons: Gregory P. Mullen and his partner Kevin Sweeny and Bill E. Mullen, Jr. and wife Lisa, all of Rehoboth Beach, DE; one granddaughter, Julia Mullen and one grandson, William Mullen both of Rehoboth Beach, DE and several nephews and nieces.
All services are private.
Memorial contributions may be made in Mrs. Mullen's memory to Epworth United Methodist Church, 19285 Holland Glade Road, Rehoboth Beach, DE 19971.
