Margaret J. Luchtman's Obituary
Margaret Kindra Luchtman
Beloved Wife, Mother, Sister, Aunt
Margaret Luchtman, age 66, of Rehoboth Beach, DE passed away peacefully at home in the company of her husband and daughter on Thursday, October 2, 2014.
Margaret had recently retired to Rehoboth Beach with her husband Richard after working as a computer programmer analyst for many years in Allentown, PA. Before becoming a programmer, Margaret was a special education teacher in Wilmington, DE, a position she cherished.
"Aunt Margaret" was the Santa Claus of her extended family, who also referred to her as "Miss Christmas." She loved being with her siblings and their children, and spoiled them no matter what their age.
Margaret was a voracious reader and a talented container gardener, whose flower pots were the envy of the neighborhood. She was thrilled to retire to Rehoboth Beach, which has been one of her favorite vacation destinations for decades.
Margaret was precede in death by her parents, Nancy and John Kindra, and her sister Candace Broucher.
She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Richard, who was her high school sweetheart; her daughter Kelly; her siblings, John (Jacque), Scott (Julie), Carol (David), Steve (Martha) and Bill (Jane) and 11 nieces and nephews.
Services will be private.
In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to Margaret's favorite charity, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
