Margaret Elizabeth Hudson's Obituary
Margaret “Peggy” Elizabeth Hudson, age 91 of Lewes, DE, passed away on Tuesday, March 29, 2022, at Delaware Hospice Center, in Milford, DE. She was born on June 26, 1930, in Lewes, daughter of the late William and Eva Thompson.
Peggy was born and raised in town on Market Street. She worked at Beebe Healthcare in the Registrar’s Office for nearly 30 years. She was known to everyone in town, and many fondly remember Peggy sitting on her front porch, enjoying her hometown and all the passersby. She was a founding member of the Doo-Da Parade, as well. A faithful member of Groome United Methodist Church, she particularly liked their Bible study group. Peggy was warm, kind, and had a wonderful sense of humor. A constant source of positivity, everyone loved her. Peggy, a nurturer at heart, cared for her parents in their later years, as well as her daughter throughout a terminal illness, until her passing in January of this year. She was a loving and devoted grandmother and friend, who will be deeply missed by all who had the good fortune to know her.
In addition to her parents, Peggy was preceded in death by her husband, Rannie Hudson; her daughter, Sandra Jane Phillips; and her best friend, Phyllis Hoenen. She is survived by her granddaughter, Michelle Jane Phillips; and her adopted grandson, Eddie Pilling.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the caregivers and staff of Delaware Hospice Center, for their exemplary care and support of Peggy.
