Margaret Jane Bartley's Obituary
Margaret Jane Bartley, age 84, of Rehoboth Beach, DE passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, January 2, 2018, with her daughter Jill by her side. She was born Friday, February 10, 1933 in Wilmington, DE, daughter of the late Horace Hattenfield and Nellie (Hicken) Hattenfield.
Mrs. Bartley moved to Rehoboth Beach in the 1970's. She was a graduate of Goldey Beacom College. She owned and operated Second Time Around, a consignment shop in Rehoboth Beach for many years. She enjoyed golfing, going to the beach, fishing and was known as an excellent cook, seamstress and homemaker.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Bartley is preceded in death by her husband, Clay Bartley in 2015. She is survived by her daughters, Jill Hattenfield Baylis of Rehoboth Beach, DE and Jan Moore and her husband Shawn of Annapolis, MD; and her grandchildren, Liam and Olivia Moore.
Services will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society at PO Box 163, Salisbury, MD 21803 or to Delaware Hospice at 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963.
