Obituary
Marcia Shihadeh, of Rehoboth Beach, DE and Henlopen Acres, beloved wife, sister, aunt and friend, died Sunday, November 27, 2005, at home following a brief illness.
Marcia was born in Ketchikan, Alaska, January 19, 1949, the second of nine children born to the late Henry and Jane (Boynton) Weed.
While living in New York City, Marcia was employed at Cunard Trafalger. It was in New York City that she met the man who would become her partner in life, Mohammad "Richie" Shihadeh. They married in 1974 and moved to Rehoboth Beach in 1975, to establish The Camel's Hump Restaurant which they operated for 30 years before closing the doors in September 2005.
Marcia was proud to serve on the Delaware Real Estate Commission as a public member. She will be remembered for her generosity, her humor and her zest for life.
In addition to her husband, Marcia is survived by her three sisters, Suzanne Monaghan and her husband Allen, of Hornell, NY; Georgia Weed of Ithaca, NY; and Lucia Sacco and her husband, Mark, of Ithaca; three brothers, William Weed of Bath, NY; David Weed and his wife, Noelle, Of Dover, DE; and Luke Weed and his wife Debbie, of Honeoye, NY; and her loving nieces and nephews: Katie Monaghan, Julia Monaghan, Jonathan Weed, Danielle Blanton, Jodie Weed, Matt Sacco, Nick Sacco, Whitney Weed, Sara Weed, Josh Weed, Andrew Weed and Haley Weed.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Wesley and Matthew.
Friends may call Wednesday, November 30, 4-6 PM, at Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, 16961 Kings Highway, Lewes, DE.
